In WATERCOURSE the Los Angeles River becomes a case study for unraveling how landscape is perceived. A large-scale video projection that collages aerial footage of the river from its headwaters to downtown immerses the viewer in deconstructed colors, shapes and sounds. Experiential displays invite participants to consider what it means when a force of nature becomes a commodity.
WATERCOURSE was on exhibit in 2016 at the Small Green Door gallery in Los Angeles. Future exhibitions and films are in development.
